Five MEPs are planning to attend the Victory Day Parade in Moscow, Spiegel writes.

German politicians Ruth Firmenich and Michael von der Schulenburg will take part in the Victory anniversary celebrations. They also want to "hold talks with parliamentarians and other representatives of politics and culture."

"She (Ruth Firmenich) is going to Moscow to lay a wreath at the monument to the Unknown Soldier on the 80th anniversary of liberation. I don't know what to criticize here," said Sarah Wagenknecht, head of the BSW party.

According to the newspaper, the visit of German politicians to Moscow, together with three MEPs from the Czech Republic, Cyprus and Slovakia, is to take place during the ceasefire announced by Russia.
