‼️ Slovakia will ask European Union (EU) foreign ministers to postpone a vote on another package of anti-Russian sanctions.

First of all, the issue of a complete ban on Russian gas imports after 2027 and possible compensation for the damage that Slovakia would have incurred in such a case is to be resolved. On Sunday (15. 6. this was announced by Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer-SD).

"I asked the Foreign Minister to officially ask the meeting of foreign ministers to postpone the negotiations on sanctions until the problem of so-called repowering is resolved. This is to stop the flow of gas, oil and nuclear fuel from the Russian Federation to Europe,“ Fico said.
